About Me:
I moved home to the Navajo Nation in my sophomore year of high school from College Station, Texas (Gig ‘em!). I fully felt the weight of culture shock, becoming a new me. I found refuge in the greenhouse at Good Shepherd Mission in Fort Defiance, Arizona, where I learned patience, stewardship, and the hozho’ of tending living things from my mentor, Joe Pacal. That quiet space grew my love for plants and helped me discover my vocation.
I graduated from Window Rock High School and continued at Dine’ College, where I recently completed my B.S. in Agricultural Science. My studies and research on Thelesperma Subnudum (Navajo Tea) and the microbes that live within it helped me bridge culture and science with care for land and community.
Along the way, I found a home in the Episcopal Church. I attended EYE (Episcopal Youth Event) in 2017, where I felt my first sense of God’s love. I was thankfully able to stay connected to my service of Him, through serving along with the most amazing team of United Thank Offering as the Young Adult Representative starting in 2018. Those experiences taught me that leadership is service and that faith grows when it is shared.
At the beginning of this year, 2025, I was selected to be among the first Dine’ participants in the Young Adult Service Corps (YASC). I’m stepping into a year abroad to support the local church and community initiatives. I am most excited to share what God has done for me in my life and what He can do for you when you trust Him with your whole Faith.
Ahehee’! Thank you for believing in me.
